Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety, OCD, & Trauma
Dr. Stephanie Grimaldi (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and Florida (telehealth only), and a clinical researcher in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at New York State Psychiatric Institute. Using treatments backed by science, Dr. Grimaldi has extensive experience implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. She creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals can share their experiences and begin taking steps towards living a fuller, meaningful, and values driven life, no longer hindered by anxious thoughts or unhelpful behaviors. Collaboratively, she will work with you to identify your treatment goals and develop a plan to help you achieve them. Dr. Grimaldi is committed to improving the quality of life of her patients, and believes that all individuals are capable of immense change.
Dr. Grimaldi earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Hofstra University, completed her predoctoral internship at the Bronx VA, and postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University. She has also trained in various research and clinical settings within the NYC area including the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Zucker Hillside Hospital at Northwell Health. Dr. Grimaldi has previously held teaching positions at Brooklyn College, guest lectured at local universities, and has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on OCD and anxiety disorders.
